Thirteen year old Meadow has been riding horses for six years. She spent most of her young career in the hunter and jumper rings and in December 2020 moved over to eventing with her Hanoverian mare named ElanV aka Pepsi.

Meadow & Elan V placed 6th in OBN-B at 2021 Midsouth. She and her Area IV YR Backstreet Boys teammates (Kayli M. , Siena P. & Mia V.) placed 4th.

Fifteen year old Lily has been training at Lake Geneva Equestrian Center with Madison Bonamarte for 10 years.

Midnight Borealis (Alice) and Lily just recently started their dressage and jumping partnership. Though selected for 2021, Lily & Alice were, unfortunately, unable to travel to Midsouth for the event.

After a wonderful introduction to the sport with long-time eventer Clifton Peekachu, Kayli has started the education process with the young Fernhill Future Star, a 2016 Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Kaylianna won the OBN-B division and led her Area IV Backstreet Bays team to a 4th place finish at the 2021 Midsouth Team Challenge.

Fifteen-year-old Siena from Illinois is a member of Fox River Valley Pony Club. Little Brown Bird is an 18 year old thoroughbred mare who has competed through the Training level.

The pair brought home an 8th place finish individually as well as contributing to the 4th place Area IV YR Backstreet Bays.

Fourteen year old Kaela has been eventing for 3 years. High Dollar Dreams (Savannah) is a Clydesdale x Thoroughbred mare that Kaela has owned for a year.

Kaela is from Minnesota and trains with Laurie Beall. Kaela and High Dollar Dreams competed for Area IV YR’s Party in the US-Bay.

Mia V. from Illinois and her 2015 thoroughbred gelding Cometin are a new team representing Area IV.

Mia in conjunction with Kayli M., Meadow C. and Siena P. brought home 4th place in the team competition as Area IV YR Backstreet Bays.

Annika Z., Wisconsin, started riding at age 7 when her Mom purchased a Groupon for her to take a riding lesson. It was love at first sight! Now at age 13, she is showing her fierce, wise, and steady 20-year-old Arabian/Hanoverian cross mare, Spirit. Annika and Spirit train with Maureen Dunn.

High School sophomore, Emma B, resides in Illinois. Olivander is a 2013 Trakehner gelding who joined Emma in 2020.

Emma trains with both Ingrid Pavilanis, and Jennifer Rousseau. She began eventing at the age of 11.

Fifteen-year-old Lily has been training with Madison Bonamarte for 10 years.

Fallo e Basta (Nike) is a 2014 Dutch Warmblood mare who represented Area IV at BN at the 2020 Midsouth Team Challenge, bringing home a 4th place finish. Though selected for 2021, Lily & Nike were, unfortunately, unable to travel to Midsouth for the event.

Abigail H., Wisconsin, and her 2014 Oldenburg gelding, C-Note contributed to the 10th place Fast & Furious Area IV YRs team. This was their first season at Novice.

Sixteen-year-old Alaina M, Missouri, is a member of Hinkson Valley Pony Club where she has earned her C2-Eventing and HSE ratings. A long-time mounted games competitor, Alaina started eventing in 2019.

Alaina and “Truce” placed 5th individually in ON-D and competed with the Area IV YR Golden Gelding Mighty Mare team in 2021 at Midsouth.

Ezra S. of Illinois represented Area IV for the second consecutive year with his 2013 thoroughbred gelding, Lazaretto.

This pair placed 10th individually in ON-B while competing for the Area IV YR Golden Geldings, Mighty Mare team.

Sophie S. has been a member of Fox River Valley Pony Club since age 6 and has represented Area IV YR at Midsouth each year since the program’s inception in 2017. The now 12-year-old is an avid fox hunter in addition to a fierce eventing competitor.

Sophie and “Polly” placed 9th individually in ON-D while competing for the Fast & Furious Area IV YR’s in 2021.

Sabrina S. is a member of Mill Creek Pony Club and has earned her C2 Eventing rating. Venice is a 2006 Hanoverian/Trakehner gelding with an extensive dressage background but just recently introduced to jumping.

This pair placed 7th individually in ON-A and 10th with the Fast & Furious Area IV YRs in the Team competition.

Katie T. is based in Illinois. Excel Star Beholden is a 2016 Irish Sport horse. The pair began competing at the Beginner Novice level in February 2021 and have progressed successfully to the Novice level.

The pair competed with the Area IV YR Golden Geldings Mighty Mare team .

Fifteen-year-old Ella W. from Illinois, is a member of Wayne Dupage Hunt Pony Club and also a part of the Versailles eventing team. Falynah B (FeB). is an 8-year-old Hanoverian mare.

Ella and FeB placed 7th individually in OT-A at the 2021 Midsouth Team Challenge and competed on the Area IV YR All Stars team.

Madelyn C. is a northern Minnesota native. Madelyn is on the Eventing Team at Transylvania University and works at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Striker is a 2013 Thoroughbred gelding. The pair continued their long record of clean cross country runs with a double clear at Midsouth at Training Level.

Rachel M., Iowa, is a high school senior. In addition to eventing, she is involved in show choir and cross country running.

Rachel is nationally certified in Pony Club and has owned her 16 year-old thoroughbred gelding, The One and Only Ivan, for three years. She competed with the Area IV YR All Stars at the 2021 Midsouth Team Challenge.

Lily S. Illinois, and her 2006 Thoroughbred gelding, Sullivan first represented Area IV at Midsouth in 2020 and the Novice level with a 7th place finish. The pair repeated their placing in 2021 at the Training level, finishing on their dressage score.

Lily and Sullivan joined forces with Lauren K. and Kaylee B. on the Unstable Area IV YR team.

Lauren K., Wisconsin, is another repeat Area IV YR Midsouth Team member. She and Patrickswell, a 2012 Irish Sport Horse mare, galloped around double clear at the 2021 Midsouth Team Challenge in the Open Training division after having just a bit of time in 2020.

Kaylee B., Illinois, brought her new partner, Artisan to compete at the Training level.

Artisan is a 2014 Holsteiner/Swedish Warmblood cross who had recently moved up to Training level.

This pair competed with the Unstable Area IV YR team.

Seventeen-year-old Kaylee B., Illinois, grew up in a riding family so inevitably, was on a horse by the time she could walk.

Caballo Oscuro, affectionately known as Zi and “the king” is Kaylee’s long-time partner. They completed the T3D together as their final hurrah before his planned retirement to the lower levels.

Elizabeth F. is from Wisconsin. Elizabeth started riding when she was 4 years old. She completed her first recognized event when she was 9 years old.

Elizabeth is riding "Spanning the Globe." "Spanning the Globe" is a 16-year-old OTTB gelding. "Spanning the Globe" competed at NAJYRC 2*& 3* with Elizabeth's older sister, Emma. Elizabeth trains with Brad Hall, Cindy Bonamarte, and Chris Taylor.

Michaela F. from Missouri trains with Sarah Berkowitz of Bell Mountain Eventing. Michaela started riding Sam, a seventeen-year-old OTTB, four years ago and has taken him from Beginner Novice through Modified Training. Sam loves the water jumps and crossings, or maybe it’s all the splashing! In her spare time, she also competes in Mounted Games on her pony Curious George

Aidan M. , Wisconsin, has a vast array of equestrian experience. She competed in western, barrels, hunters, jumpers, polo, equitation and dressage before finding her true love in the sport of eventing.

Peekaboo Street is a thirteen-year-old Thoroughbred gelding that joined forces with Aidan in 2016. The pair train with Ali Kuhn, Sundance Farm. Though selected for 2021, Aidan and “P” were, unfortunately, unable to travel to Midsouth for the event.

Mya P. has competed successfully through the Preliminary level with both Sir Duke and Guy’s Elegant Miss. She debuted her newest partner, Cooley Stormwater, in September 2021 at the PT level.

Cooley Stormwater is a 2019 Irish Sport Horse who has competed through the CCI3-L with Elisabeth Halliday-Sharpe. He and Mya had a clean and cautious first outing at Preliminary, picking up a bit of time at Midsouth.

Mya is an Illinois native who is currently training with David and Karen O’Connor.

Wisconsin native and high school senior Becca R. began riding at the age of nine. She partnered with Chapter Two (Deuce) in 2018.

Deuce is a 2012 Thoroughbred gelding who began his eventing career with Becca at Beginner Novice. The pair have progressed through the CCI2* level together and are currently training with Missy Ransehousen.

Becca and Deuce earned a 4th place finish in the OP-B division at Midsouth and were part of the 4th place Area IV YR Chicks with Kicks team.
